Sarah's Sixth Birthday

Last month, Sarah turned 6. She's been begging for a big birthday party with friends for two years now, and last year, it didn't happen, since we moved less than a week before her birthday, but this year, we went all-out and threw a Pinkalicious Party (for those of you without girls between the ages of 3 and 10, Pinkalicious is a book about a little girl who loves pink so much that she eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink.) I didn't get a ton of pictures, but here's a few, which should give you the general idea:

The girls all decorated pink crowns

Of course, we HAD to decorate pink cupcakes!

We also had little party just for family on Sarah's ACTUAL birthday. Of course, we celebrated Shawn's too, since it's two days earlier, and I didn't want to do another cake...

Sarah and Shawn's cake... I thought we had normal candles. I thought wrong.

Sarah's favorite present was a chest of drawers filled with craft supplies from her Grandma Whitaker. She LOVES digging in there and finding things to create. Just the other day, she said to me, "Grandma must love me an awful lot to give me such a cool present!"

I'm sorry, but you can't have a birthday 3 days before school starts and not expect to get some school clothes... Lucky for me, Sarah LIKES clothes.

Sarah opening presents surrounded by family. We LOVE that we get to share birthdays, etc, with our relatives! (Even if just a few of them... But the rest of y'all would be WELCOME to move out here too!)
