Sarah's Sixth Birthday
Last month, Sarah turned 6. She's been begging for a big birthday party with friends for two years now, and last year, it didn't happen, since we moved less than a week before her birthday, but this year, we went all-out and threw a Pinkalicious Party (for those of you without girls between the ages of 3 and 10, Pinkalicious is a book about a little girl who loves pink so much that she eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink.) I didn't get a ton of pictures, but here's a few, which should give you the general idea:

We also had little party just for family on Sarah's ACTUAL birthday. Of course, we celebrated Shawn's too, since it's two days earlier, and I didn't want to do another cake...
Sarah's favorite present was a chest of drawers filled with craft supplies from her Grandma Whitaker. She LOVES digging in there and finding things to create. Just the other day, she said to me, "Grandma must love me an awful lot to give me such a cool present!"

LOVE the pink wafer cookies. Those worked out great! Good job, Mom. Oh, and our one day together sure has me wishing you lived closer. Oh how I miss having a REAL friend.
Sure rub it in! We can't wait for Thanksgiving! What a fun birthday party!
